Landing Gear Component for Aerospace & Military Equipment

Backed by over 30 years of experience, we at Hi-Tech Engineering are recognized providers of custom precision components for demanding industries. In the project outlined here, we were called upon to complete the manufacturing of a landing gear component designed for use in aerospace in a military application. This critical part was created with 4130 steel alloy selected for its strength, toughness, and machinability. Our state of the art CNC mill was employed for manufacturing the precision production of the specified contours and details.  The part was first roughed then heat treated to produce enhanced material performance and mechanical characteristics such as improved wear resistance and increased part strength. Finish machining followed by cadmium plating completed the manufacturing process.

The landing gear component was subjected to thorough in-process and post production inspection, verifying dimensional and functional accuracy. In addition to standard inspection tools, our advanced Mitutoyo CMM equipment was also utilized. The tightest tolerances of ±0.0002" were achieved during manufacturing.
